Information for Students & Parents

General Grooming Requirements

Student hair is to be neatly tied back, preferably in a bun. Please ensure there is no loose fringe on the face. Also, jewelry should not be worn during class as this can potentially be dangerous to other students. 

Uniform Requirements

All the required uniforms are available through the studio. A small selection of high quality new and second-hand dancewear items, including a limited range of shoes, are available through our studio's second-hand shop.  

Tiny Tots: A pink leotard, pink lace skirt. short pink socks and pink ballet shoes.

Beginner's Ballet, Pre-Primary Ballet and Primary Ballet: A pink leotard, pink checked skirt, short pink socks and pink ballet shoes. 

Grades 1 to 3*: A blue leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes. 

Grades 4 to 5*: A navy blue leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes.

Grades 6 to 8*: A maroon leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes.

Grades 1 to 8*: Character Shoes and Character Skirts are required. (Character Skirts remain the property of the studio, and are hired to students for an annual fee of $30.)

Pre-Elementary to Advanced: A black or navy leotard, pink tights, pink demi-pointe and pink pointe shoes. Cross-overs may be worn for warmth in winter.

Tap Uniform**: Leotard, circular skirt, bike pants and black tap shoes. Tap shoes should be worn with socks or tights. The studio has a small supply of second-hand tap shoes available.

Jazz Uniform**: Leotard, circular skirt, bike pants and black jazz shoes. Although our uniform is not compulsory for older students, we do expect leotards and bike pants or tights to be worn (without T-shirts).

* Students from Grades 1 to 8 will need a Character skirt and black Character shoes. (Character skirts must be kept in a protective clothes bag.)

** Jazz and Tap student uniforms are made specifically for our studio. It is not possible for these to be purchased through ballet shops.
